Terms of Service & End User License Agreement

These Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Aleksandre Chokheli, an individual developer based in Georgia ("we", "us", or "our"), governing your use of the Wordoverse mobile game and related services (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility & age

Wordoverse is intended for a general audience. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, such as 16 in parts of the EEA/UK) to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. The App is not directed to children under these ages.

2. License to use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on a device you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial entertainment. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by us.

3. Your account

  • You can play instantly as a guest (tied to your device), or sign in with Google or Apple to protect your progress across devices.
  • An account may be linked to a single social provider (Google or Apple). Connecting a provider to a guest account either upgrades that guest or, if the provider is already tied to another account, signs you into that existing account and removes the guest.
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account and device. Guest progress that is not connected to a Google or Apple account may be lost if you lose access to the device.
  • You may delete your account at any time (see section 11).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • cheat, exploit bugs, manipulate scores or leaderboards, or use bots, automation, or modified clients;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or circumvent security, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
  • interfere with or disrupt the App, its servers, or other players;
  • use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms or applicable app-store rules;
  • choose a display name that is offensive, infringing, or impersonates another person.

5. Virtual currency (Coins) & virtual items

  • The App includes Coins, a virtual, in-game currency, and virtual items such as rocket skins, backgrounds, win effects, avatars, and frames.
  • Coins and virtual items have no monetary value, are not real currency or property, and cannot be redeemed for cash or exchanged for anything of value outside the App.
  • You receive a limited, personal, revocable license to use Coins and virtual items within the App. They are non-transferable and cannot be sold or traded outside the game.
  • We may manage, regulate, modify, or remove Coins and virtual items, and may set or change prices and balances, at our discretion, subject to your mandatory legal rights.
  • Coins and virtual items are forfeited when you delete your account, and are not recoverable.

6. In-app purchases & billing

The App offers optional purchases, including coin packs, one-time content bundles, and the subscription described below. All payments are processed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google) through your store account — not by us. Your purchase is also subject to the app store's terms. Prices are shown in the App before you buy and may vary by region and change over time. Applicable taxes may apply. We use RevenueCat to validate and deliver purchases; we do not receive your payment-card details.

7. Auto-renewable subscription

Wordoverse offers an optional auto-renewable subscription with the following terms. The exact title, price, and duration are always shown to you on the subscription screen in the App before you confirm the purchase.

  • Title: Wordoverse "All Categories" subscription.
  • What you get: while the subscription is active, every word category is unlocked and available to play.
  • Length: the subscription renews on a 1-month (monthly) basis unless a different duration is stated on the purchase screen.
  • Price: the price is displayed on the subscription screen in your local currency before purchase. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation.
  • Auto-renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Managing & cancelling: you can manage or turn off auto-renewal at any time in your store account settings after purchase:
    • iPhone/iPad: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or in the App Store app.
    • Android: Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions.
    Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current paid period.
  • Free trials/introductory offers (if offered): if a free trial is offered and you subscribe, any unused portion of a trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
  • Links: your use of the subscription is also governed by our Privacy Policy and these Terms.

8. Refunds & cancellation

Because Apple and Google process all payments, refund requests are handled by them under their respective policies, not by us:

Virtual Coins and virtual items are digital content delivered immediately and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, are non-refundable once delivered.

EU/UK consumers: nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory statutory rights you have, including the right of withdrawal (typically 14 days) for certain purchases of digital content under consumer law. Please note that, where you request immediate delivery of digital content (such as Coins or unlocking content) and expressly acknowledge it, the right of withdrawal may be lost once performance begins, as permitted by law. Your statutory rights remain unaffected and take precedence over anything in this section to the contrary.

9. Advertising

The App may show optional rewarded advertisements (for example, watch an ad to receive a reward). Watching ads is voluntary. Ads are provided by third parties (Google AdMob) and are subject to their terms and policies. How advertising data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual property & your content

The App and all of its content — including code, artwork, graphics, sounds, word data, cosmetics, trademarks, and the "Wordoverse" name and logo — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license in section 2, you receive no rights in them.

If you upload a profile picture or set a display name ("your content"), you keep your rights in it and grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use it as needed to operate the App (for example, showing your avatar and name on your profile and on leaderboards). You represent that you have the rights to the content you upload and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or violate section 4.

11. Termination & account deletion

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete Account). Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and progress as described in our Privacy Policy, and any Coins or virtual items are forfeited. Deleting the App from your device does not, by itself, cancel a subscription — cancel that in your store account (section 7).

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the App, or where required by law. We may also discontinue the App or any feature; we will provide notice where reasonably practicable.

12. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or virtual items, arising out of or relating to your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) for the App in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Changes to the App or these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App and delete your account.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Georgia. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and nothing here deprives you of those protections.

15. Apple App Store — additional terms

If you download the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply and, in case of conflict with the rest of these Terms, control for the Apple version of the App:

  • These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App.
  • If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any) to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product-liability, legal/regulatory, or consumer-protection claims.
  • Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual-property rights.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
